Harris Keillar, Managing Director
Harris has over twenty five years' recruitment experience, with the majority being within financial services. MBA qualified, he was a director with one of the large nationals prior to opening Keillar Resourcing. Much of his time is spent advising clients and candidates on their career options and assisting client companies with their expansion plans. Recent successful placements have included Head of Sales for Asia, Senior Underwriter in Sydney, Head of Sales for an asset management house and a multi-lingual Head of Marketing for an offshore office. Harris is Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.
Gregor Ormond, Senior Consultant
After successfully completing an honours degree in Business Studies, Gregor joined Citigroup within their investment valuations team. Wishing to gain a great insight and focus on front of house operations, he joined Keillar Resourcing in 2005 and has now successfully recruited throughout the UK and foreign markets at all levels within the life office, IFA, investment and banking arenas.
Adrian Orton, Consultant
IFA qualified, Adrian Orton went to Glasgow Caledonian University where he graduated in Leisure Management. With several years of financial services recruitment experience, Adrian has covered the UK as well as the Middle and Far East regions. He hasn't let the grass grow under his feet either; specialising in front office sales and marketing, Adrian has worked across many areas, covering middle to senior management positions. These include life and pensions, investments, banking, retail banking, asset management and IFA firms.
Although he feels he has accomplished a lot during his career so far, Adrian cites his greates professional achievement as helping to recruit a brand new international sales team for one of the UKs largest life assurance companies. A keen golfer, Adrian spends much of his free time on the golf course and is a member of Craigielaw in East Lothian. He has even caddied professionally at the last three European Tour events staged at Doha Golf Club in Qatar. Adrian has many stories to tell from such an experience.
David Tait, Consultant
David has been involved in the financial services markets for 10 years, initially as an IFA and latterly in the recruitment of financial services personnel. Seeing the market place from both sides gives him a unique insight into the key requirements of any good financial advisor or IFA. David has established a number of key clients throughout the UK and has recruited from tied advisor to director level.
Gary Strachan, Consultant
Gary moved into recruitment shortly after graduating from Aberdeen University and joined Keillar Resourcing in the beginning of 2007. Initially working as Sales Support Consultant, he trained under the more experienced consultants, taking a brief foray into hiring on the bancassurance front with an affiliated outsourcer. Ropes learned and dues paid, Gary continues to specialise, for the most part, in IFA sales roles.
