Our client is an independent firm of Chartered Financial Planners & part of a prestigious, major Financial Services Group, which has offices  throughout the UK.

The firm provides holistic advice and bespoke solutions, tailored to its HNW clients’ needs. Financial Planners at the firm can be assured of a stimulating, progressive & highly rewarding career, within a professional, friendly and sociable environment.
 
Due to continual growth & success, the firm is now seeking to appoint an additional talented Financial Planner at its Edinburgh office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing financial advisory plans to meet clients’ needs
  • Networking with professional partners and introducers to identify HNW private client opportunities
  • Conducting individual client consultations and on-going investment performance reviews
  • Implementing Business Development initiatives to grow client base
  • Managing relationships with and advising existing clients
  • Continuously developing business, financial and technical expertise
  • Supporting and providing advice to other team members in specialist knowledge areas

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a consistent ability to develop and forge successful business relationships within the wealth management and financial planning arena. Experience of advising private clients and HNW individuals is essential, as is a history of working with professional partnerships and introducers. An existing network of professional connections would be helpful.

 

Candidates will also need:

  • To be able to demonstrate a broad knowledge of all areas of financial planning & experienced in advising HNW individuals (£500K+ of investable assets).
  • To be qualified to a minimum of RQF (Regulated Qualification Framework) Level 4, with a current Statement of Professional Standing and ideally working towards, or having achieved, Chartered status.
  • To be able to demonstrate the ability to build new business and establish successful client relationships through professional introducers (solicitors, accountants, own professional networks)
  • To be well organised & highly motivated, with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads
  • To have a strong client focus approach to their work
  • To be able to operate at a holistic solution level
  • To be professional, with a flexible, pro-active manner & a desire to succeed
  • To have well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • To be an enthusiastic  team player
